Chile, 2001. This is my website for all my artistic projects. Feel free to navigate and know more about my stuff.SynthV Covers, Medial Arts, Illustrations. This is what i do.
Time is precious for our lives. I use my time doing all of this, which requires dedication, study and inspiration. But art is often not a viable way to make a living on its own, which i also have to make a living apart from this. This is optional. You help a lot by just reading this, sharing my artwork or enjoying it. Donations are a plus to what i'm doing on my projects. As an exchange, people who want to subscribe for a membership will have full access to all my projects and personal requests.
SSTV (Slow Scan TV) image transmissions originated in the last century as an accessible tool for amateur radio operators, telecommunications companies, and even space agencies. Using a mechanism similar to analog television, images are converted for transmission and decoded by a receiver, which generates a top-to-bottom sweep until the transmission ends. The difference lies in its considerably narrower bandwidth, closer to that of voice waves. Each time an image is transmitted, it emits the code audibly, which is revealed with varying quality, depending primarily on the ambient noise level. This sensitivity to noise forms the basis of my artistic research, where each transmitted photograph reveals the noise of spaces. This is how I began to explore different locations in the city of Valdivia and transmit a photograph of each place on location. A photograph imbued with its own space reveals the space of noise, playing with the machine's imperfections to create an interesting aesthetic. This research culminated in my graduation presentation with Fernanda González, which you can see at the following link:

This is a compilation of some exercises I did as part of my artistic research during my studies. They were generally linked to the concept of the body modified by technology, whether human or non-human, as an exploration of what it might mean to be human in the future. What will we gain? What will we lose? How will it affect our society? It was a process that went in line with the popularization of AI, and how these have become, in some way, part of everyday life (as were the electronic devices that function as extensions of our body; the cell phone, the computer)This concept was realized through various visual analogies. From a mutilated tree, supposedly brought back to life through digital means, to the vanishing of the body as a result of what was once a social accessory.

I'm a huge Radiohead fan and a big fan of Kasane Teto's voice. The idea of combining both of these figures became possible using SynthV and UTAU. Right now, I'm finishing up the covers from Radiohead's album OK Computer (1997). However, I'm open to considering covers of other similar bands, or those that some of you have suggested. You can download the songs directly here (as .flac) or hear them on my Youtube Channel.
